COMPOUND ADJECTIVES
This week, I
worked on Compound Adjectives to continue on my goal of improving my English communication skills. Therefore, I decided to surf the internet with
the idea of finding good websites and that is what actually happened.
On Woodward English, there is an excellent explanation
about what they are and how to use them. People must bear in mind that hyphens
are really important when making compound adjectives. It is not the same to say
“I saw a man-eating alligator” than “I saw a man-eating alligator”, just
that little punctuation mark can make a big difference in meaning. You
should try visiting the following website if you want to pick up some new words
or take a look at the structures:
Also, I found
out some good exercises that I want to share with you all.
Having run through
this series of items, I have more tools to describe things and express my ideas
in a conversation. I recommend you to practice as well, then you will not
only learn new words, but also see them being used naturally.
